    Unique piece of Ukrainian medieval art inside the church

    Don't miss it - the oldest and probably the most interesting church in Kyiv. Great frescos inside.

    This is quite a nice-sized church for the city it resides in. Containing the typical eastern "onion-domes", the interior is old, with some frescoe paintings. It seems as in most 'orthodox' churches they do not care too much for picture-takers. My friend and I were kicked out! Contains a gift shop. Surprise, surprise. One of the few sites worth it in Zhytomyr. Avoid the eastern style public toilets behind the church (unless you are feeling very adventurous)!
