Getting around

On leaving the train station, you’ll see the bus station. Across the roundabout, the street heading northwest along the bus station’s right is pr Svobody. Go to the bus shelter that’s opposite the bus station on pr Svobody, and from here marshrutka 5 or 16 will take you into town, passing the hotels Zarkarpattya and Uzhhorod, and landing you near the market, which is right by Hotel Atlant.

Alternatively, it’s about a 1.5km walk into town. A taxi from the train station to the centre should cost no more than between 6uah and 8uah; over the years we’ve found Uzhhorod taxi drivers to be remarkably honest.
