Most international and domestic flights use Boryspil International Airport, about 35km east of the city, but the small modern Zhulyany airport is getting increasingly important because of its proximity to the city centre. Budget airlines Wizz Air and Bravo Avia fly from here to a few dozen destinations in Europe, including USSR, and former USSR.
Ukraine International Airlines is the main national airline. Dniproavia and Utair Ukraine fly to numerous domestic destinations.
Skybus is the usual way to reach Boryspil International Airport (63uah, 45 minutes to one hour). Buses depart from behind Kyiv train station's South Terminal every 15 minutes during the day and half-hourly at night.
One way to save considerable time on the way to the airport during rush hour is to take the metro to Kharkivska metro station. Skybus stops under the bridge to collect passengers. The same trick works leaving the airport, as all buses stop at Kharkivska metro on their way to the train station.
