The 4th edition of our Ukraine guide was published in May 2014. Due to the dramatic changes that have taken place in Ukraine since this book was sent to the printer (the Euromaidan protests and the annexation of Crimea), we have produced a special update for travellers, as an addendum for the guidebook. You can download it here.
This update was written after the author's visit to Ukraine in April 2014 and it includes a new chapter as well as the corrected pages from the guidebook.
I'm returning once again to Ukraine for the Koktobel Jazz festival in August which (now held in Zatoka on the Black Sea). I'll be arriving from Kiyev via Odesa. First, public transport details from Odesa to Zatoka please? Would this be via Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi? After the Jazz I'm continuing to Rakhiv in the Carpathians for the XXIIIrd Hutsul Festival. What's the most sensible way to get from Zatoka to Rakhiv by public transport please?
Thanks in advance
I have 7 days that I can allocate to this trip (fri night to sat). At first I thought of flying to Romania but then I entertained an idea of renting a car and doing a road trip. Has anyone ever done that?
Any tips, suggestions?

I find the same "ripped up passport" reference which probably happened once in the mid 2000s and nothing else. I know some border crossings between Ukraine and PMR were also blockaded for awhile on the Ukrainian side but that also seems to be more than a year ago. Any current info would be much…
A friend of mine, arrives at kiev zhulyani airport at around 23.30 at a thursday. He would like to travel onwards that night to Odessa, to arrive there in the morning. What are his options? He checked blablacar, but no luck, from this airport. Maybe there is a nightbus service, or minibus service? Anybody has an idea? Preferably an overland trip no plane.
Hi, I'm planning to take a flight from ODS to IEV in September and have already booked a flight on Motor Sich Airlines.
The reason why the flight time is better than Ukraine International Airlines, and Zhulyany International Airport (IEV) is closer to central than Boryspil International Airport.
However, I'm anxious about the flight, especially delayed and cancelled, because I can not find any reviews of the airlines.
The airlines will launch new routes from Kiev to Lviv and Kiev to Odessa on 6…
