About Istanbul: Crossing Between Europe & Asia
Blog: Inside the Travel Lab - 6 December 2011
A man casts a glance over his shoulder before arching back and casting his line into the water. The street chatter and rush hour traffic drown out the subtle splash but from the look on his face, you’d think he stood alone in the countryside, miles from anyone, miles from anywhere.

Weekends at the office
Blog: The Turkish Life - 4 December 2011
Unlike any office in which I've ever worked, the headquarters of Borusan Holding is eerily tidy. Nary a stray piece of paper mars the crisp white interior, where the few framed family photos and coffee-table books placed just so seem more like movie-set props than actual personal belongings.

Our Datça Holiday - The Village of Yazıköy
Blog: Turkey's For Life - 2 December 2011
The Datça Peninsula; wild, windy and just stunningly beautiful. That's the impression we came back to Fethiye with last Monday after spending the weekend there with friends. It's 8 years since we were last on this amazing stretch of land that juts out into the Mediterranean/Aegean Sea and, to be honest, while we remembered enjoying its beauty, we had forgotten how truly special it is.

The Magnificent Süleymaniye Mosque In Istanbul
Blog: Turkey's For Life - 21 November 2011
While we certainly haven't seen all of the prominent mosques in Turkey, Süleymaniye Camii in Istanbul is a definite favourite so far. We visited here on our first trip to Istanbul some years ago - and we've been trying to return since. In February 2010, we trouped up the hill from Sultanahmet, only to be greeted by a locked gate and a photo showing the restoration work going on inside.

Antique Hostel & Guesthouse In Sultanahmet, Istanbul
Blog: Turkey's For Life - 19 October 2011
Regular readers of Turkey's For Life will know that whenever we take off to somewhere other than Fethiye, we're not going off with the thought process of money is no object.
