Lonely Planet review
Renovated in 2012, the Güngören is a stalwart on the travelling circuit, with new faces checking in daily and poring over maps in the lobby. A lift climbs to smart, creamy rooms with flat-screen TV, fridge and tiled bathroom. The friendly staff speak some English, the location on a quiet street is convenient, there's a restaurant and the copious breakfast features local cheese and honey.
Our independent authors have visited Güngören Otel and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Kars.
