   Marmaris' hilltop castle (1522) was Süleyman the Magnificent's assembly point for 200,000 troops, used to capture Templar-held Rhodes. The castle hosts Marmaris Museum, which exhibits amphorae, glassware, coins and other finds, including from Knidos and Hisarönü. Saunter the castle's walls and gaze down on the bustling marina.
