Sahaflar Çarşısı
The Old Book Bazaar is great fun for browsing, but you'll find more new than old. It's just west of the Kapalı Çarşı (Grand Bazaar), wedged between Çadırcılar Caddesi and the Beyazıt Camii. The nearby flea market runs only rarely these days.

Galeri Kayseri
Twin shops almost opposite each other offer a modest range of English-language fiction and glossy books on İstanbul. The range looks larger and better than it actually is, but it’s the best English-language bookshop this side of the Galata Bridge.
