Lonely Planet review
Ancient Euromos stood 12km northwest of Milas and 1km from Selimiye village. Founded in the 6th century BC, Euromos peaked between 200 BC and AD 200, under Hellenistic and then Roman rule. Its indigenous deity cult had earlier been subsumed by that of Zeus, and indeed the partially restored Temple of Zeus is all that survives.
To get here, take a Milas–Söke bus or dolmuş and ask to get off at the ruins, 200m from the highway.
