    Mavi Bar

Conveniently sited at the far end of the main square, the Mavi's permanently packed with people - it was Kaş' favourite when we visited. It plays a good mix of music and has tables outside.

  2. B

    Queen Bar

Popular with travellers and locals alike, this place has a lively dance floor on the 1st floor and a more sedentary bar on the second. The friendly DJ, Emin, encourages musical requests.

    Hi-Jazz Bar

Run by Yılmaz, a retired New York City taxi driver who has a story or two to tell, this is a mellow little bar with seating inside and out. From mid-June to the end of September, there's live jazz daily from 22:00 to 02:00.

    Denizalti Café Bar

Another place for jazz and a 'mean martini' according to one local, it has tables outside as well as a pleasant terrace that looks out over Atatürk's shoulders across the whole square.

    Meis Bar

Newly opened in a lovely old stone house, this place functions as a bar, a venue for live music, and full-blown nightclub. It's the place to be seen.

    Sun Café Bar Restaurant

With its garden setting next to the Lycian sarcophagus, its décor and lighting, this is a civilised and rather glamorous place for a drink. There's live music nightly (21:00 to midnight in low season, 23:00 to 02:00 in high season).

    Harry's Bar

English-owned and English-looking, this pub-like place is unashamedly expat, but it gets some traveller traffic too.
