To the southwest are the remains of the more minor Saray Gate - Sultan Orhan (1326-61) had a palace near here in the 14th century.
If you head back inside the walls from the Saray Gate you will come to the abandoned ruins of a 15,000-seat Roman theatre.
Shaded by willows, this simple garden bar's nice for a sunset drink.
Köfteci Yusuf is a good local joint for köfte , served with thick-cut bread and hot green peppers.
Lonely Planet review
Part of the Çamlık Hotel, this lake-facing restaurant is a local favorite for fish. When the weather's good, enjoy a meze and drink in the lakeside garden, as the yawning interior can seem lonesome (unless, of course, a wedding party's going on).
