    Greenhouse Bookshop Cafe

This friendly bookshop stocks the city's best range of books in English about İstanbul and Turkey. There's a huge kids section and a decent fiction section. It's where most of the expats in the know buy their reading matter.

    Galeri Kayseri

These twin shops near the Sultanahmet tram stop offer a modest range of English-language fiction and a more impressive selection of books about İstanbul and Turkey. The second, smaller, shop is on the opposite side of the road half a block closer to Aya Sofya.

    Robinson Crusoe

There are few more pleasant fates than being marooned here for an hour or so. With its classy decor, good magazine selection and wide range of English-language novels and books about İstanbul, it's one of the best bookshops in the city. There's another branch specialising in art books on the ground floor of SALT Beyoğlu.
