Lonely Planet review for İnci Pastanesi

A Beyoğlu institution, İnci is famous throughout the city for its delicious profiteroles covered in chocolate sauce. Customers squeeze into the tiny shop and most scoff standing up.

    all about profiteroles

    etipuf recommends this,

    tiny, tiny place
glass displays of piles of profiteroles, chocolate covering them, leaking, inviting
such a tiny place is nice if you get to sit so close to all the chocolate!
i may be a little emotional here, for the love of chocolate
but the fact is that you would go all the way to taksim from the anatolian side of istanbul, just to get these profiteroles and go back.
the best profiteroles in istanbul in a little place with little, not very comfortable stools and tables, as it has been for decades, with no intention of renovating into a space shuttle decoration. the place is not fancy, and although a trademark of beyoglu that locals love, not a place to sit around for long and meet people, get a genuine local experience
on the busy istiklal street, stop by the profiterole experts and get a quick boost of serotonin, run back into everything else in taksim
you just really have to love profiteroles.
