Lonely Planet review
The dorms here are worlds away from the impersonal barracks-like spaces in bigger hostels. Bright and airy, they feature wooden floorboards, rugs, lockers and comfortable beds; most have air-con. Bathrooms are clean and plentiful. It's a great choice in winter because the cosy rooftop bar has an open fire and a great view. Private rooms aren't as nice.
Our independent authors have visited Cheers Hostel and selected this as one of our recommended hostels in Sultanahmet.

Our Istanbul hostel offers a comfortable, clean and budget stay in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Our Wintergarden Panoramic Terrace Bar offers breathtaking views overlooking the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and Taksim and is open all year long. In the summertime, you can enjoy a refreshing self-mixed Mojito on our bar while sunbathing and relaxing, or in the wintertime, enjoy a hot drink. Make yourself comfortable next to our cozy fireplace and have a glass of wine. We also serve a delicious Turkish breakfast buffet on the terrace.
