Hasnun Galip Sokak in Galatasaray is home to a number of Türkü evlerı, Kurdish-owned bars where musicians perform live, emotion-charged halk meziği (folk music). The best of these is probably Munzur, which is nearly two decades old and still going strong. It has a great line-up of singers and expert bağlama (lute) players.
