Rahmi M Koç Industrial Museum information
The surprisingly absorbing Rahmi M Koç Industrial Museum, which is located inside the beautifully restored Çengelhan building (which is also home to a posh hotel and restaurant), has three floors covering subjects as diverse as transport, science, music, computing, Atatürk, and carpets; some displays have interactive features.
Anyone born before about 1985 should be prepared for the somewhat depressing shock of seeing childhood memories such as ZX Spectrum computers, cassette tapes and things you could have sworn blind were only invented a year or so back being deemed old enough to be worthy of museum status.
