Roman Aqueduct information
Lonely Planet review
Running east–west intermittently along Namık Kemal Caddesi and Inönü Caddesi, the long and tall Roman/Byzantine aqueducts are now festively adorned with the huge nests of migrating storks, who stand guard from March through September. The outdoor restaurants and cafes beside the attractively lit central aqueduct arches make for atmospheric and romantic summer dining.
