   Amasya has several venerable hamams that are still in operation. The Yıldız Hamamı was built by a Seljuk commander in the 13th century and restored in the 16th century. On the southern side of the river is the Ottoman Mustafa Bey Hamamı, built in 1436. Both are open from about 6am to 10am and 4pm to 11pm for men; from 10am to 4pm for women.
