Hey guys,

does anybody know a good and not too old travel guide in English, German or French for an individual traveller?
Bradt does not cover Tunisia and the Lonely Planet is from 2010... I just found one German guide from 2013.

Any suggestions welcome!

Hi everybody! I have been following the latest news from Tunisia. I will travel one month in South Italy and Malta and reserved the last days of the trip for a bit of Tunisia which is appealing to me, though I am a bit concerned about terrorists attacks in the country in the last year. Is there any solo traveler in Tunisia at the moment or was recently there, who can tell me if it feels safe to be at least at the north part of the country. Are there more backpackers there at the moment? Thanks…

I am planning a trip to Tunisia in late March. I was wondering what I should plan for seven days and what is the best mode of transportation? Is it private taxi or shared buses? Also, how's the safety level right now there, seems like it would be as safe as anywhere else in the world...

Thanks forum!!!!

I've come up with a tentative itinerary for 2 weeks in Tunisia and would love any and all feedback. Does the timeline seem feasible or is it overly ambitious? Any suggested adjustments/modifications? I'm planning to go in a few weeks. Thanks in advance!!

Days 1-4: arrive Tunis, visit Bardo Museum, medina, Carthage, Sidi Bou Said. Day trip to Douagga

Evening Day 4: night train Tunis to Tozeur (departs 2045, arrives 0512 or so).

Day 5: Enough time after arrival in the early am to organize a day…

Hi,
I have been in Tunisia a few years ago and have been mainly visiting the desert and backcountry.
Next week I will come back to Tunisia with my girlfriend and we want to spend some relaxed days on the beach.
We are budget backpackers and usually spend on our travels up to 20Euros per night/room.
Are there any relaxed resorts, hotels, family-run-guesthouses etc. which have simple bungalows, huts or sth. similar that are right on the beachfront? It can be very simple - we just want to be as close…
