  • Air Southwest has four flights daily to Newquay from London Gatwick - 1hr 10 mins
  • British Airways has daily flights to Newquay from London Gatwick - 1 hr
  • RyanAir has daily flights to Newquay from London Stansted - 1 hr
  • Train from London Paddington - 5-7hrs
  • Perranporth is eight miles from Newquay; buses run hourly

Costs:

  • Flights: from approx £35 each way with Airsouthwest
  • Get a bus from Newquay airport to Newquay, or book the Summercourt Travel (tel: 01726 861108) minibus from £5-10 per person
  • Accommodation: backpackers from £15 for bed in dorms, B&B and hotel from £60 per double
  • 2.5hr surf session: £30 at British Surfing Association in Newquay
  • Board hire from £10 a day, wetsuits from £5 a day
