Even with 72 countries, five continents and tens of thousands of miles under his belt, Dean still has shoddy geography and is a real disappointment to his friends when it comes to Trivial Pursuit. He was born in New Zealand and backpacked through inaccessible parts of Asia before settling into a career alternating between freelance graphic design and travel writing. He's currently on his third lap of the globe, going strong and probably lost. His website chronicles it all.
