Born and bred in the Eastern Province in a little town called Butterworth, Unathi worked his way through the dusty government schools and finally landed himself in Cape Town, where he pursued computer science, but later switched to media. He currently works in radio and teaches New Media. Whenever he has free time he spends it on the road, travelling around South Africa.
