Portrait of

Baxter caught the skateboarding bug in 1987 after seeing the street skating in Police Academy IV, and caught the travel bug not long after. In 2007 he won the chance to write for Lonely Planet with his Skateboarding’s Top Seven Cities Bluelist. Originally from Texas and California, Baxter is currently based in Cairo and freelances and skates locally, no matter where he goes. He travels with his fiancé, Kristina Kunz, Hanuman Chickencat (their travelling feline) and his trusty skateboard.
