When he was growing up, Tim didn't travel much apart from the obligatory pilgrimage to Disney World and an annual summer week at the lake. He's spent most of his adult life making up for this, and has since visited over 50 countries. His Lonely Planet guidebook work includes the Northeastern chapter of Thailand and the Thailand chapter of Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and the Greater Mekong. When not shouldering a backpack, he lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
