No one went hungry

Sitting front right on the raft, I coped the full brunt of every rapid and splash. The front also doesn’t have any real position to lock in your feet, so your also the most prone to get flung out, which was fine with me.

Our guide did everything in his power to capsize the raft but carrying the most gear, he couldn’t swing it, nevertheless I was thrown overboard (only a little self assisted) no less than 5 times.

The Chinese on board thought I was some type of hero, exaggerating flips when thrown out, and laughing as I was churned through the upcoming rapids.

I was having the greatest time.

In between rapids on slower sections, the brave could jump out and drift along floating in our life vests. At this stage I wish I had water housing for the camera, floating by seeing the most amazing photos that I’ll never get to take, the deepest valley in the world and Himalayan mountains in the backdrop, countless Waterfalls cascading into the river and monkeys screeching from the jungle. I locked it all in the memory bank though and at the end of the day that’s all that really matters.

Add this to the list of best things I have ever done.
