Airports into Barcelona, Spain

When travelling to Barcelona by far the most popular airport is Barcelona International, on the edge of the city at El Prat. There are though 2 other airports which are well worth considering, mainly because they mean the chance of cheaper 
flights.
flights.Girona Airport - Situated by the city of Girona, this airport could perhaps by named Ryanair Airport because the budget airline dominate flights. If you book when there is a Ryanair sale then you might find the return flights very cheap if you choose Girona airport. There is a coach outside he airport which takes passengers for a small fee, to the centre of Barcelona.
Reus airport (also sometimes called Salou or Sitges airport) to the South of Barcelona is roughly 1 hour from central Barcelona and the airport has a bus running into Barcelona. This is another budget option and if you have the time then this is a great option for cheap flights.
