Introducing Wyoming
Galloping with rodeos and pageants, the pioneer past is alive and kicking in the ‘Cowboy State.’ With much of its beauty derived from its romantic emptiness, sparsely populated Wyoming is the kind of place you’d expect to find that lonesome cowboy riding the range, whistling a melancholy tune and embracing the solitude.

Wyoming’s greatest bounty lies in its northwestern corner, which is home to two of the USA’s most magnificent national parks: geyser-packed Yellowstone and the majestic Grand Tetons. Gateway towns, such as chic Jackson and progressive Lander, are ideal launch pads for epic hiking, camping, climbing and skiing adventures in the region. To really get off the beaten path, spend a few days wandering through Wyoming’s less touristy towns and windswept prairies – places such as Laramie and Cheyenne are hardly on many travelers’ radar, but do give a taste of modern Wyoming reality. Be warned: it can feel a bit isolated and depressing.
