Note: prices are not fixed in Uzbek hotels we went to. Haggle your way to the price you wish. I wrote down what we payed.
Hotel Uzbekistan (Tashkent): 62$ single room (acted as triple), hot water only at night. Wi-fii at the loby. Elevators take long. Generally expensive. Cash-exchange in the loby. Just outside Amir-Timur metro. Includes breakfast.
Ali-Tour B&B (Tashkent): Vahidov st. 26/2. small rooms but hot water, and AC, at least at some. no Internet. breakfast is small, the toilet is duck-taped. it’s a nice place but not very fancy.. we payed 30$ for a double. they started at 40$. haggle your way..
Hotel Zarina (Samarkand): 25$ single, 35$ double, nice big rooms, TV ( no BBC), AC, hot wate. Internet on office computer, no wi-fii. Across from the Registan a small alley leads to behind the Lyabi-Gor restaurant. Take a right on the street behinf the restaurant. Owner is friendly French-speaking. Helped us get the train-tckets, and a good price for hotel in Bukhara. Includes breakfast.
Hotel Islambek (Khiva): 15$ single, 25$ double, hot water, Includes breakfast, AC. Just inside the city walls, north from the east gate.
