Chinese Visa in Dushanbe

Bad news.

The consulate in Dushanbe is a difficult one. we tried making the visa in Tashkent and gave up, hoping it would be easier here. it’s not. the consol, who is the only person autohorized to deal with foreigners, works Wednesdays and Fridays. after waiting for a very long time outsode, with no obvious queue, you give him you’r passport. he than sends the English-speaking woman to tell you that they will have an answer within a week. and only than you can come, give your passport, and wait 2 more days for the visa. I don’t know the prices.

If you plan to make your visa here anyway, I recommend you start the process and than go trekking in the Fans. the Pamirs are too far away…

sorry for the bad news…
