The 2D1N Kukup package includes a guided tour of a local fish farm. At about 10am, a ferry will pick us up right from our “backyard” – the outdoor wooden platform to bring us to the fish farm which is the middle of the sea.

At the fish farm, there will be a demonstration of how the angler fish catches its prey (e.g. small insects) – by spitting water onto it, causing it to fall into the water, where they will devour it immediately.

There was also a mini “petting” zoo where you get to touch sea creatures such as starfish and a horseshoe crab. The horseshoe crab looks like something out of an Alien vs Predator movie when viewed up close.

There are also opportunities for you to shop for dried foodstuff here e.g. prawn crackers, various type of sauces and even sunglasses!

While walking around the fish farm, we sometimes have to navigate around creaking narrow wooden planks – they looked as if they will crumble at the slightest touch and yet are strong enough to hold our weight. Amazing! :-)
