Turtles in a half-shell

I’ve got The Kooks stuck in my head, I hate the bloody Kooks. They have the sense of humour of your average Bulgarian, as Simon Amstell hilariously exposed. Anyway, moving on to better things.
My head feels like gravity is imploding (I don’t even know what that means but that’s what it feels like). It’s not that suprising really, I had a White Russian and a shot of absinthe (I dont get the hype?) amongst many other things last night. I’m not really a fan of these organised pub crawls, but as a solo traveller they almost become a neccessity, rent a friend if you will.
The fellow who led the events was a very strange little Australian bloke who was constantly bouncing in a Euro dance fashion to echo how much of a great time he was having, he disturbed me slightly. The bars and clubs we went to were bobbins apart from one Quentin Tarantino inspired bar (named Tarantino funnily enough) but there were some good people about so it was a reasonable night.
Man, no sooner than my last lot of mosquito wounds have healed than I have a new batch. The pesky little beggars. If I coat my body in a thin layer of cyanide would it harm myself more than the pesky little beggars?
There’s another one of these free walking tours on today but I’m not going to go as for one it’s in 3 minutes and I’m composing this from my bed in my pants, and two I lost the will to breathe on the last one. Crikey I’m in a cynical mood today, muchos apologies.
I’m just watching the Rags vs Birmingham now with a fellow named Darragh from N.I. who I was out with last night, good chap. I’m hoping this hairy dog I’m having will have the desired effect.
Now watching Scousers vs Spurs, accompanied by rather cheap beer, ‘riffic. I’ve already spent my fact of the day. I informed Darragh that the Italian footballing giant that is Juventus, kit was originally inspired directly by the world’s oldest league club Notts County, he was suitably impressed. His submission several hours later was that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was renamed to Hero Turtles in the UK because Ninja was considered too violent. A great effort but the impact was lessened as I already knew this. A valiant attempt none the less though I’m sure you’ll agree.
So Vilnius actually looks really nice but I’m going to have to come back to see it as I’ve spent my time here watching football and drinking beer. Not a bad way to spend a few days but I’m slightly annoyed with myself at the waste. Have had a good time though and met some ace people on the same wave-length, which can be a rarity on these adventures.
Tomorrow a 10 hour train journey to Warsaw awaits. There’s an Aussie girl from the hostel on the same one so that should hopefully make it go a bit quicker.
The pic is of a painting on the Berlin Wall, in a rather poor showing I’ve hardly took a snap in Lithuania. I’ll try and buck my ideas up come Poland readers.
