A comedy of galactic proportions

The train journey to Quebec was nice enough, I spent most of it watching ‘Galaxy Quest’ on the phone. A splendid spoof and sci-fi adventure in it’s own right. Also dead funny!

On the way to the train station I stopped by the bus depot in Montreal to pick up a Greyhound ticket to Boston, you can’t get there direct from Quebec so I’ve got to get a very early bus back to Monty on Friday. Expensive. I actually looked into hiring a motor last night but I could only find one company doing it and it was stupid money for one day (about 250 Canadian), I presume it’s to do with the border crossing.

Many hours later I write this at 04:29 with eyes that want to close more than Jo Brand likes to have her cake and eat it. The life of a hosteleer is a funny one, it’s interesting but I wouldn’t want it permanently.

The problem is when someone says “Dan/Don, would you like to come out for a drink?” I say “Yes” when I mean to say “No”. Tricky you see.

I blame the Danish girl, Czech guy and Filipino geezer I went out with. Decent night mind.

Pic is random Montreal street art.
