Vasque Shoes Women's Velocity XCR Trail Running Shoe Vasque Shoes Women's Velocity XCR Trail Running Shoe

Ideal for rough trails and those who require motion control for overpronation. Gore-Tex® lined.

If your usual trail running routes are often mistaken for game trails then the rugged Vasque Women's Velocity XCR Trail Running Shoe is for you. Built Sherman tank-like tough this sturdy shoe is built to handle the roughest of paths. In fact some people use it for carrying light to moderate loads on overnight backpacking trips. Weighing 12 ounces per shoe in a women's size 7 the Vasque Velocity XCR Trail Running Shoe is not the lightest but there are certainly heavier shoes in the category. But what you give up in weight you more than make up for in comfort and support. Classified as a motion control shoe a dual density EVA midsole places a higher density foam on the medial side to reduce pronation. Users also often comment about the Vasque Velocity XCR Trail Running Shoe's excellent underfoot protection. A thermoplastic (TPU) plate has a lot to do with this rejecting sharp rocks and other debris like a plate of armor. Vasque doesn't hold back with the traction using their Mako® outsole with an aggressive tread pattern to handle steep climbs on loose soil and descents along muddy ravines. The upper features highly breathable airmesh that not only feels great when you're in the homestretch of a 10 mile run but it also stops dust and sand from entering the shoe.

I would definitely buy another pair of these shoes! Image: 5 Stars

Here in the Laurel Huighlands of Pennsylvania we garden on hills and around rocks where an ankle gets turned and serious foot support is needed. I have tried many great brands of shoes but have not been completely satisfied until I owned these Vasque Velocity XCR Trail Runners. I am not a trail runner anymore but if I needed to run around here I would be prepared. As soon as these came I put them on and went right out through the wet grass to work and kept them on for a 12 hour day of serious acres of flower and vegetable gardening including using a digging fork - pounding the bottom of my foot onto the fork without any problems planting bending stretching and miles of walking! I never once thought about my feet until the end of the day when I realized they didn't hurt they were dry and I didn't have to adjust them even once. I have narrow heels and always have slipping problems not with these shoes. I bought a size 8 and they fit perfectly on my sometimes size 7.5 or 8 foot.

I love these shoes. I don't run but I walk very fast and go on paved roads and off trail and these are far the best shoes I have ever had. They are a third of what I paid for hiking boots and so much more comfortable and light weight.
