Wore it to Mt. Baldy last sunny weekend. Supposed to be a rain jeacket but put it on to shield wind. Felt ture to size with good length. Nice color and stylish.

I bought this jacket all brand new in altrec after reading all the great reviews posted here I needed a lightweight jacket for urban use and non very technical mountain outings and after owning it for 6 months I can now give it my own grade. It's very lightweight and packs as small as a nalgene bottle it shades wind perfectly and pockets are easy to use with gloves on. Under rain this jacket is useless even under light spring showers somehow water filters straight to the chest which is very annoying I guess it's due to a lack of design while it has a double flap over the zipper instead of a waterproof zipper no matter how much I try to avoid water filtering to my chest it keeps doing so full zipped up. After 6 months it's showing serious use signs the "high technical waterproof membrane" 'hyvent DT' literally is peeling off by itself! that white membrane on the inside face of the jacket is peeling of by itself in small pieces! On top of that it's very noisy while walking people turn seeking for that annoying friction sound in the street. Very dissapointing product The North Face's quality is going straight downhill as other few products I bought claiming to be "high technical outdoor gear" let's talk honestly: North Face jackets now are focused to wealthy college students and rap stars instead of mountaineers and climbers since 6 or 7 years ago. I bought Marmot Oracle jacket to replace this one and gone for Mountain Hardwear and Lowe Alpine gear which are better designed and still done for actual outdoor athletes. Hope this review helps.
