excellent high quality short form patagonia. i have used these primarily for gym workouts and occasionally on the trail and in the pool. versatile durable and comfortable in all aspects. the one drawback would be the drawstring which slips and only temporarily tighten the shorts around your waist. would definitely buy another pair.

I live in a hot part of CA. I was looking for a light weight short. These fit the bill and more! Very comfortable liner and loose fabric almost feels like your not wearing anything. Top notch!
Great active shorts

Light and loose Patagonia's Ultra Shorts have a longer inseam than most trail running shorts but they're not restrictive. Good shorts if you're tearing up the trail.
Excellent running shorts

These are the only shorts I go running in any more. Even here in hot TX the shorts dry quickly and don't chafe. The pockets are nice for keys and gel without being a pain to get into when you do want something.
