This is a perfect sun hat. It's light capacious secure (thanks to the adjustable cord) colorful and the brim is wide enough to really block the sun without impeding the wearer's vision. It is easily packed and washed--all sun hat needs met.
Cute hat for light activities in the sun, not the rain

I expect this hat will be most useful at the beach ballpark etc. and for light trail hiking. The two-cord adjustability is a great plus for securing fit against winds. Rolls and retains shape well. Keep in mind that this is a sun hat not a rain hat. It held up okay during an initial drizzle but the rain soaked through to the top of my head soon after. But then OR doesn't claim to offer wet weather protection in this hat model; it's only for sun and wind and those things it does well enough.
Consider it? Buy it!

This is a wonderful hat. I bought it for my mom's short trip. I and my father focus on the technical quilities more than on its shape but she is different. However she was compltely satisfied with its shape and performance. The hat is one of her favorites. Are you looking for a gift for your girlfriend or mother? Buy it!
Worth buying two

I like the first hat so much that I bought another one to keep in my travel tote. I don't want to be without one when I venture forth. This hat is lightweight but very adjustable and functional. The brim is very wide to keep the rays off of your face. And I like the tie under the chin and headband adjustment for securie fit. Just about as good as hats get.

This hat was perfect for my day at Great Adventures. It stayed on during the rides and protected me from the heat and kept me cool. I'll be ordering some as Christmas gifts based on all the compiments I received.
