A warm well made hat. The windstopper ear-covering certainly reduces hearing but will probably keep out wind noise as well. The ear coverings can also simply be flipped up.
Great Fit Under a Motor Cycle Helmet

Keeps the wind off my ears and bald-head at 60 MPH under my 1/2 and 3/4 type motor cycle helmets. I like to ride in the winter and this WindStopper Alpine Hat works great.

I bought this hat for my Mom. She has very sensitive ears. The hat kept her head and ears very warm in cold winter weather. It was a great buy!
