This was my combo sun and rain hat in Costa Rica. It is stable in wind (with string back up); I snapped the sides up if very windy. It worked great in the rain. The Seattle Sombreros don't fit my XL head so I was glad to see from previous review that these don't run small. With the little adjustment toggle it fit perfectly.

I found the hat easy to modify the brim into the most useful shape. It looks very nice and the breathability is a definite plus. My first pick for downpours in the spring and summer.
Keeps off the sun AND the rain.

I absolutely love this hat. The day after I received it and the first day I wore it we had a two day bout of rain and wind. It worked wonderfully keeping me dry.
Not only that I wear it on sunny days and it keeps me well protected from the sun and the sweatband does help keep me cool and the perspiration is wicked away. GREAT!!!!
