I wore this rash guard while snorkeling in slightly chilly waters (about 76 degrees) and it provided just enough of a layer to keep me comfortable. It is quite stretchy so it was easy to get on and off even though I had a swimsuit underneath. I highly recomend this rash guard! (As a side note I ordered the same shirt for my husband who is between a L and XL. The larger size was more comfortable.)

Rash guard does just what the name says. When I combine the rash guard with a hydroskin layer under my dry top I can go in 30 degree weather in comfort.I think I swam once and did not get cold. A little pricey but it works.

I've purchased rash guard shirts 2ce the price at the local board shop and there is no difference. It fits well and dries fast. I purchased the blue to see how it worked and then came back for the red. Super shirt.
Great for sun protection

I use this rash guard for sun protection while swimming. I'm 5'7" 160 lbs and the medium fits perfect. Its very comfortable so I bought a second one. Wish they offered more colors.
Great layer or cool weather shirt

This Hydrosilk Rash Guard shirt is very form fitting but non-constricting. Works well as a layer or just by itself in cool weather. I recently went for a paddle in some cool weather (50 degrees or so) with this shirt layered under my Gore-Tex jacket about two miles out I got hot and removed my jacket. Then it started to rain I paddled back in the rain with just this shirt on and all though I got wet I stayed very warm in this short sleeve shirt.
