| Great equipment for kayakers in cold water

I wore the Farmer John on a very rough paddling trip through the Apostle Islands in Lake Superior. With 5 foot waves a small craft advisory in effect 20 mph headwinds 70 air temp 39 water temp I found myself totally warm. A later immersion (on purpose) proved to me that the neoprene would keep me warm in the 39 degree water long enough to remount my kayak even in waves. The suit is comfortable even on hot days (for me anyway).
I am glad I followed Altrec's sizing advice regarding the Farmer John running small. I am 6' 200 pounds and am glad I ordered the XXXL - it fit perfectly. NRS charts say I should have ordered a size smaller. (My brother 6'3" 230 lbs. tried it on found the legs too tight and chest constricting so he ordered the Grizzly version and was happy with that.)
The two-way zipper saves time and comfort when nature calls.
Conclusion: Sturdy warm well made comfortable functionable and affordable. Perfect in my book.

Used it for triathlon. I got size large which was a bit snug ( I am 6ft 165 lbs ) but can't imagine I would want it bigger. Certainly warm enough ( water temp 64 degrees ). Very easy to get on and off. Good purchase/ reasonable price. Altrec shipped it on time and it arrived in good condition. No regrets. Would recommend product / Altrec

Here's a little help for sizing - I'm 5'10" and 170-175 pounds. The large fits me very well.

I am 5'6" 130 lbs and the Medium fits fairly loose on me. I am very happy with this product - plenty of space around neck and arms for paddling. I use in a touring kayak. Not sure about how warm it keeps you after getting wet - only used in in dry condtions in the 40's. I think it will be OK for 32 degrees and up. Good quality.

I was quite worried about the sizing problems a few people mentioned but I followed the recommendations and it was perfect. I am 5'11" 200 lbs 44 chest 36 waist and the XL fit like a glove. I took it whitewater kayaking a few weeks ago in really cold water and I had to swim twice but I stayed comfortable in the water.
