I decided to order these shoes on-line because I have been happy with Merrell in the past and was looking for a new pair of waterproof hikers. They arrived a few days before a big trip and I was relieved that they fit and felt great right off the bat. Great for hiking or street wear. They are a bit heavy (expected with this type of shoe) and need to be double knotted but otherwise free of issues. Haven't tested waterproof ability yet but I am very satisfied with them so far.

These are the best hiking shoes I've ever worn. My old boots tore up my feet until they bled. These Merrell's have over 100 miles on them without the first blister. I love them.

I appreciate the great service of the Altrec Team. Everything was just in time and uncomplicated.
The Merrell Women's Chameleon Arc Gore-Tex XCR Hiking Shoes are very comfortable. I usually have problems wearing new hiking shoes but I feel well from the first moment on in these shoes.
The colour canteen doesn't totally fit with the preview on the website. It is rather tan than grey but I like it better. Usually I am wearing size 8 but according to another review I choose size 8.5 and experienced this to be the right decision.
