| Comfortable shoe with fantastic traction on wet and dry surfaces

Shoes needed a little break in time. I noticed the cushioning more after the break in period (one full day=adequate break in period). I wear orthotics and couldn't use them @ first but now! I recommend them for mixed surfaces with emphasis on trails. The traction in wet muddy environs is superbwith the sole having a sticky grip. Did I mention they kept my feet dry too! The shoes wear on you and you wear on them. Buy em!

Comfortable But Small

I'm NOT using these for daily trail running. I just wanted a comfortable but rugged shoe for travel so they meet my needs perfectly with the GTX and plenty of cushion in the soles.
In other Merrells I am a true 14 (Tundras Jungle Mocs and their boots) but I wear a 15 running shoe. The Overdrives in a 14 were WAY too small and the 15's are really snug so be advised to adhere to a running shoe fit guide and possibly consider ordering a 1/2 size up. They come with an extra pair of regular laces in case you're not a fan of the lace lock system
