Merrell Shoes Men's Chameleon II Stretch Hiking Shoe Merrell Shoes Men's Chameleon II Stretch Hiking Shoe

Easy-fitting elastic cord lacing system and plenty of stretch comfort for extended day hikes.

If going fast on trails is second nature the easy-fitting Chameleon II Stretch is second skin. Built with more reinforcement material along the upper than most trail running shoes Merrell's easy-access trail shoe features extra comfort and fit features like an elastic cord lacing system and convenient friction cordlock. Above the impact-absorbing Air Cushion® midsole is a contoured 4.5-mm. anatomical footbed backed by a supportive nylon 6.6 injection molded arch shank. The Vibram® Chameleon Sport™ sole looks narrower than some bulky hiking shoes but Merrell divided the high traction sole between long-lasting Dura rubber lugs and grippy Versa rubber lugs for reliable hold on a range of surfaces. If you're looking for some extra weather protection consider checking out the waterproof and breathable Merrell Chameleon II GORE-TEX® XCR® shoe.

After trying Keen's Targhee and Ochoco I ended up with the Chameleon. I really love them. They were ready to go off the box with no breaking in required. The toe area was easy on me. This was primarily a problem with the Keens. It looks good and feels good too.

They are incredible! Image: 5 Stars

I wore these shoes for dry weather desert hiking on small rocky hills and for just bouncing around. You don't ever need to tie any laces which is great if you are lazy.

Better than Nike! Image: 5 Stars

5 years ago I went to work at Home Depot. (Previously I had worked desk jobs in office towers). I noticed that everyone was wearing Nikes so I followed suit. Soon afterwards I began to have foot let and back pain. One very rainy day (I work in outside garden) I decided to work my Merrell hiking boots in order to have dry feet. At the end of the day it dawned on me that my feet legs and back did not hurt! I stopped wearing casual shoes and wore hiking boots every day. I later discovered the Merrell Chameleons and bought them for summer wear. They are incredible! As a result of my experience co-workers are making the switch too. It is hard to justify the cost of Merrells when we earn very little however we have come to consider it as an investment. And the Merrells last much longer than casual shoes. Every time I encounter a new employee in the breakroom complaining about lower body pain I recommend Merrells to them
