I'm planning a visit to Togo in July. Date is relatively fixed since travel is an extension of visit to a sponsored child and NGO says July is the month (he's home then from a boarding school; graduates from program in Nov so has to be this year). I know that's just after the peak rainy season. I'm thinking of visiting Parc Sarakawa and the area around Kpaline. Thoughts? What are the roads and mosquitos like in July? I understand the roads can be impassible during the rainy season and…
I am hoping to cross the Ghana / Togo boarder next week from Yendi (Ghana) to Natchamba (Togo). Has anyone completed this crossing of late and can they let me know if it works / any problems?
I understand the travel time is about 1.5 hours. However, this can take longer when the boarder crossing is factored in? Also, I wanted to check that 7 day visas are still being issued on the Togolaise boarder (and how much it costs)?
Due to a change of plans - I think I will cross into Togo at the Aflao/Lome border.
Can I confirm that VOA are issued here? Anyone with recent experience? The 7 days isn't a issue, but I really don't want to be turned back!
As we will be crossing over from Ghana in a taxi, I'm clueless on how to find someone to guide us once we cross into Lome. Neither of us speaks French. Ditto for when we cross into Benin!
I have spent significant time googling this to no avail. I'm going to Ghana next Friday and will spent a day each in Togo and Benin. I can only find online I will need a visa for Togo but NO information on how the hell to get one while in the UK (where I live). Can I just get one at the border? I was reading somewhere on getting the Visa Entente in about four hours at the Togo Embassy in Accra, but I doubt it's open Saturday, correct?
Also, does anyone know if I get a Benin visa at the Togo…
Forgot my yellow fever certificate at home!! I got my visas in advance for all other countries and no one has asked to see it yet. But impossible to get the Togo visa before my trip. Will i need the certificate at the border crossing? Reading many posts and pages, many say just the passport and photos and never mention the certificate.
Has someone been recently and were you asked for the certificate?
