hi wordsmith. the airport is called pembroke airport. it was expanded back in the 1980s to accommodate military aircraft. its in between pembroke and petawawa but closer to pembroke. thus the name, pembroke airport.

Okay, I'm up to 75 and still counting. I decided it might be fun to try to rank order them in the number of times I've been to them. If I neglect cities where I've lived for longer than 6 months, I think it's a pretty close tie between LHR (London-Heathrow) and DFW (Dallas-Fort Worth). One of my favorites? Vienna. One of my least favorites? Some tiny city in India whose name I can't recall but has the distinction of recording the highest average temperatures in the country. We had a few hours' layover there and the air conditioning wasn't workin

- my amazing one: Koh Samui in Thailand. They don't give big money to build an ultra-modern airport, but they win tourists' heart with its tropical designs and relaxing atmosphere. It's a part of sightseeing there.
- my least favourite: Ho Chi Minh City. Yes, there's some improvement today. 10 years ago, I had to give the custom staff a pack of "555" cigarettes for going out. Not any more now.

i've visted the ko samui airport, been there to meet someone arriving. it is a pretty cool little place. these should also be countable in people lists, even tho no landing or takeoff occurred.

I've been in and out of Koh Samui a couple of times too - love it too - AND just noticed it wasn't on my list. I think I'm going to have to do it all over again.

That was a really fun trip down memory lane, of course after hitting send more come to mind...ahhh well the journey continues. I really like Koh Samui airport too, it is like arriving on Fantasy Island. Grand Cayman was quite nice too...they had 3 live musicians playing island tunes outside the airport as you were walking from the plane. Next we should do airlines travelled with...
