What can I add, you need to be under 30 if you are applying for your 1st working holiday visa (cheapest entry visa to australia and NZ). They both have the options to convert into a 2nd working holiday and thats it as far as the Working Holiday visa goes but you can convert these into either study visa's (very strict now...if you do this please choose your course well and use a real university or a TAFE for studying), Business Visa's (If you open a business), a 457 Partner visa (If you are with someone more than 6 months in NSW/VIC then you are in a Defacto relationship as long as you have a joint bank account and live together paying joint bills), or the other option would be to use the points system and migrate on the General Skilled Migration Visa (remember to check the points that your skills fall into on the government immigration website as they are constantly updating this list:- http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/points-test.htm). Hope this helps, I found it quite overwhelming when I first had a look at the migration website but the best advice is to take your time and decide what is best for you in the circumstances and then apply.34
Here is a link i've come across recently which has helped greatly. http://www.ausmigrationguide.com Very handy migration checklist and some good free advice on housing, finance and finding jobs in Australia36
I was hoping to be able to find employment in the leisure industry in one or both of my different interest areas (if this is possible) whilst i am in country. My main hobbies are skiing, kite-surfing and most of all skydiving where i am a BPA qualified packer and would like to perhaps work as a tandem packer as this can be a good way to support oneself.Does anyone out there know people who have been employed in these areas on working holidays in the past?

Hey All,New to LP - just wanted to get my foot in the door for any updates regarding visas.
I have created an app that provides visa requirements for aussie travellers called aus visa. I am NOT here to promote it, instead I just want to be kept in the loop.
Safe travels and fun adventures!
Ben.

I am planing to go CIC Australia in Melbourne... can you guide me that what are the hotel issues i have to face..... any body can tell me here..???39
Contact Cambridge Inter College's accom officer to see if they have any places that they can recommend.OR if you can't get anything, got to www.gumtree.com.au, there is always places there where people are looking for housemates.
How long is your studies?
If few weeks, maybe a hostel stay would be better, if a few months, get a houseshare at Gumtree.
Only the ultra rich will stay long term in hotels.
One thing though, what do you mean by "hotel issues you have to face"?
Any hotel will take you if you can pay the bill... if you are going to stay a long time, maybe they might have a problem with that. But it would be more economical to hostel it or house share it if your course is a few weeks/months.

Unless you go far out of the city, which would add to travelling time, maybe its better to live in CIC House, even $900 a month, at least you will be staying with other students. If you want to really save, you would have to go past Bell St, Preston, which is about 15 to 20 mins by tram to the city to the college, x 2, will be a long time on public transport.
