Flights out of EZEI have a few choices to fly from EZE to El Cafate. If I fly out upon arriving from the US, I would have two hours to catch a flight. Or I can fly out the next day at 8AM. If I choose to fly out the next day, are shuttles and buses reliable enough to catch an early flight. Given an early flight out the next morning, which part of Buenos Aires should I stay and if you have recommendations on hotels or hostels, let me know.

I would have a look at some flight stats and check to see how often your flight is delayed or late. Considering you have to collect baggage, go through immigration (prove you have the reciprocity visa) and then check in...I don't think 2 hours is enough. When I went through EZE, we had to wait about an hour at immigration to go through due to the line of Australians that had to get their reciprocity visa (or prove they had it).

2Go with LAN if it still flying. From EZE, there is a shuttle bus into the city. This is the most economical option. The bus arrives at a central bus station where you get transfer to your hotel.
Within the city, you can catch a taxi to the domestic airport for flight to Calafate. There is a bus going there but given you're new to the city, taxi would be a safer bet.
