Bay Area (California) things to do?I will be going to the Bay Area for a college football game with my nephew from Spain. The game is Saturday night and we are arriving at OAK on Friday midday and staying in Fremont. Looking for things to do on Friday and Saturday. We are going into San Francisco on Sunday and leaving Sunday night. Not sure how long it takes to get over the pass into Monterey but that seems to me to be a bit far for such a short time. We might stop by Jack London Square for lunch before heading to our hotel to check in. Fremont Mission might be an option or maybe Half Moon Bay. Looking for things that might be unique both artistic, cultural and historical. Maybe a run to UC Berkeley since the game is at Stanford on Saturday.

2I've been to the Bay Area dozens of times and don't even know what the Fremont Mission (it seems to actually be called Mission San Jose) is and have only ended up at Jack London Square by mistake. Also, Jack London Square is not on the way from OAK to Fremont.
There is nothing wrong with going to San Francisco each and every one of those days. You're not likely to run out of things to do. If you really want to see a Mission, go to Mission Dolores in SF. Berkeley is also an option. Both SF and Berkeley have art and history museums and venues with artistic and musical events.
Half Moon Bay is a bit far.

This suggests spending all three days in San Francisco.
If you like nature and nice/scenic drives, take the 84 all the way to the ocean, take a swim at San Gregorio beach, then drive north on Hwy 1, through Half Moon Bay and Pacifica, across Golden Gate and head to the Marin Headlands viewpoint.

4Fremont is in the south East Bay, near industrial Union City. It is close to San Jose and across the Bay from Palo Alto. Maybe an hour's drive (without traffic) from Santa Cruz, on the Pacific Ocean. Are you and your nephew interested in the history of Silicon Valley -- computers? You will be located more than one hour's drive from downtown San Franciso. Maybe 30 minutes' drive from Berkeley, depending on traffic.

8You just need to go and see for yourself the immense beauty of this place. I hadn't been to this since 2 years, as had no time I even regret this as my friends & me wanted to expose the wilderness and all it's beauty. Now that I'm free, I now understand what my friends were trying to do, to instill that sense of how beautiful and peaceful nature was there.
