Love, love AvignonThe last time I arrived in Avignon was late in the evening, all hotels booked out and finally had to take a taxi to the outskirts of the city. This time, we arrived at a more respectable hours and best of all our air b&b is right in the middle of the action above a restaurant but surprisingly quiet after 10pm. :)
Best of all is the local wine and as for the food market. Unbelievable! I bought pâté and I just could not stop eating it. The French people certainly know their food. The quality and freshness of your fruits and vegetables are unbelievable.
Bought a great bottle of rosé for a princely sum of 7euros. Btw, this air b&b has four corkscrews. Lucky us.
Off to Pont du Gard as hubby wants to photograph the via duct! Hohum.

3Sad to say that we didn't get to Point du Gard this morning. Woke up at 7am and we made the mistake of stopping at Les Halles. After buying some produce for our picnic lunch, we head off but ended up, way over the other side of town. sob.
Consequently, we missed the bus. So, we head back to our flat to regroup and decided to head off to Saint Remy de Provence instead.
Does the French hates tourists? Hubby is pretty good with following the map but this time, he seems to get into all sorts of trouble with map reading. I stopped and asked someone with my 'very' limited French but he sends us off in the wrong direction. Is that deliberate, do you think?
No bath plug. Just four corkscrews. Lots of candles, though. Perhaps, it will be ok to use a couple for a romantic dinner or is that considered stealing? Any idea?
