Studying in SpainHey Everyone, I am thinking about studying spanish in Spain this coming January however I am running into some questions that I cant seem to find a clear answer to. As I am a Canadian citizen I have read that I will need to obtain a student visa if I plan on studying for longer than 3 months. My plan was to study for 3 months and then hang around spain for another two months. That way I am still immersed in the language and culture without having to pay for two more months of tuition. Wondering if I will be able to stay for 2 more months if I am not enrolled in classes just as a tourist utilizing those 90 days?

3But basically, if you want any longer than the usual 90-day visa-free period (which is actually for the whole of the Schengen zone, though you can choose to stay in one country for the duration of it if you like); you'll need a visa of some type.
Which you apply for at the appropriate consulate; for staying in Spain, that would be the Spanish consulate.
